Lincoln Township is located in the heart of Trempealeau County. Its geographical area surrounds the City of Whitehall, the county seat. The township was created on November 13th, 1860 and named after the newly elected president, Abraham Lincoln. The first town meeting was held on the first Tuesday of April in 1861, at the home of Alvah Wood.
